Let’s see how many boats you can fit in Thurne Dyke all at the same time #chaos #boat #river Hi everyone, welcome to Thurne Dyke. I’ve just walked down to the Mill as the sails are turning and this only happens on a Sunday. On the way I spotted several rowing boats. Lots of arrivals into the Dyke as it’s Father’s Day and they are stopping to go for a meal in the village. I walk back to the end of the Dyke and sit on one of the benches to film the chaos that enfolds in front of me. Lots of boats, various sizes naturally all want to moor. Some depart and others take their place. Once the rowing boats start to leave, it quickly became clear to me, that if you’re in a large cruiser, you are unable to see small boats along side you. Eventually though, everyone managed to leave safely. (While I was there filming anyway). Wonderful to see the rowers, I always enjoy having something different to film. Filmed June 2023
