FiLMiC Pro v6.17 now allows ProRes video recording on iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. ProRes is basically uncompressed id="hidden6" class="buttons"> video. It's not something more then the usual video, basically, it's just uncompressed LARGE file.

Which format out of Dolby Vision, Filmic Pro 10 bit log v3, and all the ProRes options would you recommend?
And specifically, in which situations and in what ways are the different bitrates / ProRes quality options going to show the most obvious differences? Is it that you’d see higher color fidelity with the higher, or is it more a question of resolving fine details and minimizing artifacts?

I'm far from an expert, id="hidden8" class="buttons"> but I thought Proxy was a very low quality option you use in FCPX when editing on a Mac that isn't powerful enough to shoot regular optimized footage. I think Apple screwed us a bit requiring to bump the storage to get id="hidden10" class="buttons"> 4k prores. With ProRes we can use a log profile like Slog trough Final cut and then use LUT and so on… Maybe someone can explain me better the difference between Log and Prores. @RobDiesALotمنذ 3 سنوات Nice vid, but why would it replace any mirrorless cameras for B-rolls, or anything else really? There are incredibly good looking dedicated cameras for id="hidden16" class="buttons"> half the price of an iPhone that still provide a better image quality even without ProRes. Not even mentioning the whole workflow thing, offloading footage, replacing batteries, lens, other accessories, oh my the list goes on.
If you get the new iPhone anyways and need the large storage - yeah sure, go ahead and try your hand at film making with it. But getting this as a dedicated camera is and will still be an absolute nonsense for many years to come.
If you really want to do video seriously, just research some recent 4k mirrorless cameras and you can get a complete package with a set of lens, SD cards and other proper accessories for the same or much lower price. ....وسعت
