@MrJgibo15 years agoThanks for the tip. I was having trouble figuring out getting it inserted in my game with out using world editor so I made a copy of the skyscraper and rotated it saved with new name. Will have to look into those files for next time. ...

@michelguenette89985 years agoThis reminds me of editing saved files for Elder Scrolls: Arena back in the 90's. Do it right and you could get the same quest for a single use artifact a few times. (Do it too often and the game will break because you cannot have better than 100% in your eight traits.) I have a few questions. +How are the POIs sorted in the parent xml element? Are they random? Are they like a sheet of paper (e.g., left-to-right and top-to-bottom)? [My question is about the random or ordered coordinate system, and not the names of the POIs themselves.] +Are the POIs the only child element of the parent element? Can further nesting occur? [For example, is there an element for grouping common POIs to a town or a city?] +If we suppose that the POIs are houses on a common road, are the POIs immediately adjacent (i.e., a gap of zero blocks between edges) or is there a gap of a few blocks between them? [If you can find a layout of POIs in the world that you like, then you should be able to translate (i.e., move laterally) to another part of the map at your leisure after solving for a bit of geometry and Cartesian coordinates.] I know that some of your testing is one-of-a-kind, but have you ever thought about saving some of your designs as POIs? Not to be shared with the general public or even your patrons, but to allow you to import multiple copies side-by-side, so that you can proceed faster with your testing. For instance, you could have four or five copies of your "diving into a glass of water" tower with different water depths set up for concurrent testing, instead of designing them on the fly all the time. Sorry for the many questions. These are the types of questions that I would be attempting to answer on my own, if I had a copy of the game to work with. It is like dissecting the xml files for Microsoft Office or other applications that store their data in these structures. @JohanHartzenberg4 years agoHi. When I follow this guide on a new map the prefab does not appear. I enable debug mode and creativemode. Then press Z to pick a spot. Then press K and pick Dynamic Prefab Then pick the prefab from the list on the right Then I select "Load Into Prefab" Now the menu close and I get a Green outline of the 3D area showing the size of the prefab. Then I press K Then Save All positions Then I want to select Apply BB position But I cannot because this option is disabled. On a previous attempt the option was not disabled. I could select it but it did not appear to do anything. I still only have a green outline. What am I doing wrong? I have Quit and started over several times, following your guide slowly one step at a time. It does not work. Iam using Alpha 18.4 It is extremely frustrating. Also please state the keys you press. You say "I disabled Zombies" ... HOW!? You fly very fast at one point... HOW? Thank you for the video but the missing pieces is very frustrating. ...2

@5345cowboy2 years agoim a little late to the party but thanks so much for this im playing a20 and i was 50+days in when i noticed i had zero factory's and i mean zero and the best loot is in those so thanks now i have a few i dotted around because the world gen is just whack sometimes ...

@Sukotto824 years agoMostly helpful but I dont' have the live map thing you have for the servers. my first attempt to load my custom prefab in my world was that it was way up in the sky so I need to go to the prefab editor and lower the entire thing. I know I messed up when I moved the ground level to be level with the main floor putting the basement below the ground level but when I tried to load the prefab in the world editor the entire prefabe was sitting on top of the ground level and even that was being showed way up in the sky above the city I was near. ...1
