Algerian Chorba or Chiken soop with Barley and vegetables is a traditional Algerian meal that's usually served in Ramadan
Ingredients
3 Chiken thighs
2 tbs of chopped garlic
1 bunch cilantro , chopped
2 potatoes 🥔
3 carrots 🥕
2 tomatoes
1 cane of chickpeas
1 teaspoon paprika (and/or chili powder)
1 teaspoon ras el hanout or mediterranean seasoning
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon dried mint if preferred
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 bay leaf
Salt
Pepper
1 cup freekeh , or chopped barely
3 tablespoons olive oil
8 cups water
