Article: https://www.bevelishcreations.com In this video, I'm going to show you how to build a mid century modern inspired dog bed made out of white oak and walnut. What makes this dog bed stand out is the embedded tennis balls on the side. Overall, this was a pretty simple project, with a little bit of math involved for cutting the grooves for the tennis balls! Thanks for checking out the video and let me know what you think! | FOLLOW | ► Website | https://www.bevelishcreations.com ► Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/bevelish_creations ► Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/bevelishcreations ------------------------------------------------------------- TOOLS/MATERIALS (Affiliate) ■ Moisture Meter https://www.wagnermeters.com/?ref=9 (Affiliate) ■ Dog Bed https://amzn.to/2BwKCaE (Amazon) ■ Yellow Marker https://amzn.to/2UNLoVT (Amazon) ■ Microjig Grrripper https://amzn.to/36SA1lg (Amazon) ■ Incra 5000 Sled https://amzn.to/3dtU0u2 (Amazon) ■ 45-deg Chamfer Bit https://amzn.to/3ep8Imp (Amazon) ■ 1/4" Router Bit https://amzn.to/2Yn2SMO (Amazon) ■ Router Guide Bearing https://amzn.to/3ent5jL (Amazon) ■ 1/2" Router Bit https://amzn.to/2zVdbOQ (Amazon) ■ Epoxy https://amzn.to/2YjTCco (Amazon) ■ Drilling Block https://amzn.to/3gO1lGR (Amazon) ■ Countersink https://amzn.to/2YjypiO (Amazon) FILM GEAR (affiliate) ■ Main Camera https://amzn.to/2RYqjWS (Amazon) ■ Main Lens https://amzn.to/2DIjZQb (Amazon) ■ Beautyshot Lens https://amzn.to/2Dr0r1z (Amazon) ■ Beautyshot Lens #2 https://amzn.to/2DnLxcC (Amazon) ■ Joby Gorillapod https://amzn.to/2TlG0sm (Amazon) ■ Slider https://amzn.to/2TjKvDS (Amazon) ■ Gimbal https://amzn.to/2qOSmwp (Amazon) Disclosure: Links in the description box are affiliate links to Amazon. @madswhمنذ 4 سنوات Such a nice bed, Great work! From at design POV, I really like the groves you cut in the front panel, but better than I think I would, if it had been Sammys name - good call. :)

@drumunlمنذ 4 سنوات It came out great! I have a Golden Retriever who looks about as old as yours, and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be able to rest until she got the tennis balls out to play with, lol.

@chm1701منذ 4 سنوات Nice work, Alex. The design looks great. Sammy looks really content with this too.
I did notice a little of the finish on the tennis balls, but id="hidden4" class="buttons"> that looks really tricky not to get any on. One thing of note though my good man, treat yourself to some nice chisels, you deserve it!

@dougcollins1659منذ 4 سنوات What are the silver clamping aids you used on the joints? Seems like a great way to get clamping pressure on miters. 1

@dilrajkaur6956منذ 2 سنوات That bed is beautiful. What stain brand and color did you use? It looks very good
  • @
@FiveFifteenمنذ 4 سنوات Hi Alex. Really cool! I noticed you set up your incra sled to the right of the blade. I was thinking of doing the same. Any particular reason you prefer id="hidden5" class="buttons"> that? Also, what are those cylinder holds you have clamped to the corners to help.. clamp the miters? Thanks! ....وسعت

@CoffeyCustomBuildsمنذ 4 سنوات Really enjoyed the video. Makes me want to throw out the poplar one I made for my girl. She deserves walnut!
  • @
@richardmiller9154منذ 4 سنوات Not at ALL a criticism.but I found it a little amusing to see Festool, Incra, Woodpeckers, Jessem.and a Ryobi jigsaw. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that combination. But hey, if it cuts, it cuts! 3
  • @
@manch3st3r1منذ 4 سنوات Love the piece! What type of finish did you use? 1
  • @
@j.darrelbarros209منذ 4 سنوات Same question as in your previous video.what is the jig that is attached to your fence in frame ?
  • @
@Quin-eh9kvمنذ 2 سنوات Would you be able to include the woodworking plans you used for this dog bed?
  • @
@balisticsquirelمنذ 4 سنوات The design intent of something can be for all sorts of reasons. Aesthetics, function, etc.. I wonder what the reasoning was for lifting the bed (legs) which an old dog then needs to jump up onto. 1
  • @
@gla3drمنذ 4 سنوات Careful, you're doing a climb cut here with the back of the router bit! If you need to make 2 passes, you should do the inside one first, then move the fence further from the bit for the second pass.

@Ross_Eddyمنذ 4 سنوات I think that you should have kept the tennis ball whole, made a hole through the side of the bed to hold the balls in place, then you can take them out and use them to play with your dog. Just an idea.
  • @
@SeanPCowanمنذ 4 سنوات Very nice design. Where did you get the plywood with the thick veneer?
