Sailing O'day Mariner 19 in 20+ winds

Sailing from Puerto Rico to Palomino Island with winds steady winds in between 18-22 knots. We were sailing in a beam to a close reach, mostly footing (these boats love footing). The centerboard was raised to minimize heel (no reefing was done). Boat speed was between 5.5 to 6 knots (reaching 7 knots during gusts).
