How to control White fly in cotton crop? In this video, I will shortly explain the controlling method of white fly sucking pest in cotton field. White fly damages our cotton crop by sucking in two forms; Adult whitefly: Its age is 7 to 8 days and it sucks sap in small quantity. Nymphs of whitefly: It's age is 10 to 15 days and they suck saps in large quantity without any break so because of their feeding habit, these are necessary to control before adult white fly. Moreover, when crop height is 5 to 6 feet then it is very difficult to cover all plant from top to bottom by chemical foliar spray. That s why white flies and nymphs which are found in lower bottom portion of cotton plant continue their feeding and increase their population by making colony. In this scenario, we need some systemic insecticide which moves in whole plant body by xylem and phloem tissues of plants as well. Usually all the insecticides move in xylem tissues. Movento by Bayer crop sciences is an only systemic insecticide which moves in plants xylem and phloem tissues as well. This is known as two way action of Movento. So white fly present in any part of plant will be killed by its foliar spray. Movento can stop our cotton crop blackening by killing nymphs of white fly. Movento contains Spirotetramate active ingredient. Movento is safe in beneficial insects so we can add it in our IPM Techniques program. Movento dose for cotton crop is 125 ml + 250 ml Bio power. Use 120 liters of water for it's spray. Rapeat spray after 7 days for complete control. Spray should be done before sun rising time or in evening time. #whiteflycontrolincottoncrop #movento #moventobybayercropsciences
