Soya Granules & Tofu (Chinese style)
Ingredients
TOFU
-250h Soft Tofu (cut into small cubes)
-bring water to a boil add pinch of salt add tofu cook for 1 minutes
Drain the water and set aside
COOK SOYA GRANULES
-1 glass Soya Granules
-salt to taste
-Add to pressure cooker granules
Add enough water soak for 30 minutes and pressure cook for 2 whistles, allow pressure to release naturally
-Open the lid drain all the water,
Squeeze all the water from the granules set aside
-CHOP ITEMS
-1 green onion chop ( separate white & green)
-10 medium garlic (finely chopped)
-1” ginger ( finely chopped)
-4 green chillies ( finely chopped)
-2 tbsp chilli flakes
-1/2 tsp black pepper
-1/4 vegetable stock cube
-salt to taste
-Arrange all in a plate set aside
SOY MIXTURE
-4 tbsp light soy
-1 tbsp dark soy
-1/2 tsp black pepper
-1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar
-2 tbsp tomato ketchup
-Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
SLURRY
-3 tbsp cornstarch + 1/2 water mix and set aside
-Garnish with green onion
Method
Heat oil (sesame oil 4 tbsp) in a pan add chopped garlic, ginger, green chilies stir for a second, add
Rest of the items black pepper, white onion, chilli flakes, vegetable stock cubes stirring constantly for 15 seconds cook until fragrant
-Add cooked soya granules stir
Add soy mixture stirring constantly add Tofu stir, add cornstarch slurry mix well, simmer for 2 minutes
-Add tomato ketchup mix well
-Garnish with green onion
-It’s spicy delicious flavorful from ginger, garlic & soy sauce mixture
-pair it with Jasmine rice, Fried Rice or just steamed white rice for a filling meal.
