In this #1punt5 video, Professor of Jurisprudence Elaine Mak discusses the multidisciplinary approach to address climate change. The Urgenda case shows how law deals with a complex social issue. To accomplish this, a cooperation between academic disciplines was required. Scholars in law, governance and ethics can learn from geoscience about the state of the available knowledge on climate change. Through this interdisciplinary teamwork, Urgenda won the case and urged the state to adopt stronger measures to reduce greenhouse gases.
