@BC-cp5vr4 years ago I am having Ketamine infusions in November for severe nerve pain. I am in Australia and the infusion is done for 4 1/2 hours a day over 3 days. Thank you for your informative posts on how it works, I knew nothing about it, and even my pain management doctor was not that informative, so it is good to be able to access the hows and whys before commencing the treatments. I feel for people in the USA who have chronic pain, but do not have the money to access this treatment, here in Australia we are very fortunate and once you get a referral from a pain clinic, the treatment is free, in fact, I live in a rural town in Australia and the Government pays for your gas and accommodation costs for the days you have to receive the treatment. ... 13

@Goggalor19903 years ago I've been receiving infusions for some time now, and I agree, the dissociation is pivotal, especially for me. I struggle with being in my own negative thoughts too much to a point where it can and does impede therapy or my own ability to help myself. Being literally taken from the pilot's seat of my brain has helped me in so many ways and I always look forward to the "K hole" or as I call it "The Dead Lights", where I can feel myself lose control and fully leave my thinking and give over to the Ketamine. Such a beautiful experience and I've come back to myself with tears in my eyes a few times. ... 13

@sherececoccolast year Can you elaborate on this information? I have found dissociation or disconnection to be destructive for my mental health. I believe dissociation feeds denial. If this is not true I would sure like more understanding. 1

@bettycolevintage2 years ago thank you for you videos, I haven't done an infusion yet however my NP has me using 50mg troches two days on one off. I didn't get much guidance on it so im trying to navigate on my own. Im not sure if its helping my depression as i feel a little unstable emotionally. Would infusions be more helpful? thank you ...

@davidseriff7114 years ago Quick question for you, most ketamine clinics increase the dose each time over the six infusions, but I am going to a clinic in my city for ketamine assisted psychotherapy and they said that increasing the dose each time is an outdated protocol. This clinic finds the right dose for the patient and keeps it at that for each infusion. What do you think about that? ... 7

    Every week , Every month?
And for how long should I continue?

@MsBitchqueen1232 years ago I finally got my dosage tweaked by my 3rd treatment and I got the dissociation that Dr. Ko is describing. What a difference! I just wish my first 2 treatments had been done with a little more prep info from my Dr. and they had taken into consideration that I have been taking psych meds for almost 20 years and medical Marijuana for 2 years. The first 2 sessions were an expensive waste of money for me. I am more hopeful now they seem to have figured out the correct dose and have learned that it's not a good idea to disturb a patient repeatedly during thier treatment to see how much ketamine is left in the nebulizer. How in the world can anyone go deep into the experience when someone comes bustling into the darkened room, throwing all the light from the hallway into your space? It got so bad 2nd treatment that I was manic for 2 days after that treatment. Thankfully, the Dr. is very responsive and on my 3rd treatment they increased my dosage and promised to stay out of the room and let me use a call button if I felt any distress. ... 2

@jamessmith44552 years ago Could it just be that the efficacy of ketamine is correlated with its dosage and the higher the dosage the more likely you are to disassociate? Seems pretty obvious to me that this is what’s going on and why there’s “conflicting” information out there on this. ... 1

@SOLIANDER70354 years ago I don't want to condone recreational ketamine use but I would like to give feedback.
In the late 90s in New York City my roommates, two architects a computer programmer and an epidemiologist begin experimenting with ketamine.
I think we all felt that longer dissociative states were needed in the beginning at a higher frequency. Later on as you got into a maintenance cycle you did not need to go as deep or as often.. we would call them wasted trips. No new information. Going into a disassociative state together in a group is one of the most amazing things..of course always do this with a group of people without fear and who have done it many times..
All of us , til this day agree that this was the most happiest and most successful, emotional stable productive times of our lives. The only reason why we never stopped is because it became unavailable.

@sharahar4 months ago I have a MTHFR gene mutation and metabolize medications slow .I tried ketimine 1 time and feel like I’m more depressed and have more anxiety after the first infusion. I had a scary experience of experiencing eternity as an energy of not knowing time along with claustrophobia feelings and falling into a dark abyss.. It wasn’t all scary the entire time but those moments seemed endless. I didn’t know I would come back. Anyway I really want to give this a try even though it was so scary for me I go in for another treatment in a few days. My question is… does my MTHFR gene have anything to do with why the ketimine treatment was so scary and why I feel way more depressed and anxious after the first treatment.? ...

@teriwrong6 months ago I’ve had a scary, intense dissociation after the 3rd dose of Spravato lasting about 30 mins. No therapy around it so I don’t get if what I’m experiencing is normal or how to even process what just happened. It is like I have this intense experience and then I’m sent out with a “see you next week”. Feels like I was just in a crazy parade and then they dropped me off in the middle of nowhere! Wtf just happened!?! ...

My best experience is a mucle injecsion of ketamin and i listen to music with meditation and people speaking about the love and universe❤️and yes i was not depressed for weeks after. But i overdid one time i used every evening a lot for a week, it made m very tired and worn due that wake part after i was up all night. I see is not for family use, i not as effektive cause you just make it a normal thing by abuse. You make toleranse and it be realy boring go back to the normal life. So i only if i could, use ketamin maybe every 2-3 weeks one night several infusjons to maimtain the Tripp/ dissoiativ effect . One dose only last me 20-30 mintutes max ... 1
