As for rainfall amount, the New York City area will likely see 3-4 inches by the time the storm moves on. Totals may be lesser further inland, down to 2-3 inches for inland New Jersey and further up into the Hudson Valley; areas to the far north and especially west of the city may see even less, possible and inch or two.
