Mat Burton “I’ve finally lived my dream and built a 6ft ramp in my back garden! Couldn’t be happier with the way it feels just needs another layer of ply. The building clips were originally from my Instagram story and the interaction I had from my followers/friends was amazing. Thank you all! Follow me if you don’t the DIY builds don’t stop here. Thanks for watching!” m_t_burton Its a 6ft ramp with a 6 1/2 foot transition with an 8 foot flatbottom. I used 8 sheets of 18 mil plywood for the transitions over 200 support beams, 3 sheets of 20 mil ply for the deck, 10 1/2 sheets of hardwood 9mil ply. And just over 600 screws.

@thatproudamerican90643 years ago This video is underrated. I’m a first time father. 25 years of age. I felt like my skateboard days are over. Now I have the motivation to build one these and get back at it. 29

@blacksheepserigraphie9209one week ago This is awesome! It gives me an idea of the size I want in my yard. I’m a skater though so I’ll probably go with 6ft height with a 7 ft transition. 1

@AmazingChinaToday2 years ago Sick riding, at your skill level, you would really rock a ramp 1 foot taller and 6 feet further apart 👍 4

@Tsudkyklast year Laying down ply by yourself looks like a pain in the ass. Ramp looks great! 1

@destinebenjamin16123 years ago Woah this is siiick🔥🔥!! Been searching for a video like this cause I wanted a proper halfpipe in my garden not just a miniramp! Can I ask how you went about getting free wood in the UK please as I'm looking to save some money on it as I'm 17 and still at school? Also does the 6 and a half foot transition mean the radius please? Thank you! :) ... 1

@invitationtoadventure88372 years ago I'm just starting to do some research of also making a lifetime dream come true with building a wooden ramp at home. Sorry to see you had to take it down so soon, looked like a good ramp to sessio! Im wondering how do you come up with the angle of the transition? And was it good at that angle or did it need to be steeper or mellower? I'm a couple months off but any tips would be mint 👍🏼 ... 2

@barlowjmb4 years ago Killer ramp! What are the transitions on that badboy? 1
  • @
@paulrevere29283 years ago A ramp that tall should have twice that much flat bottom. 1
  • @
@djmanfly3 years ago Did you prime it afterwards with some paint or so? Thinking about the Rain! 1
  • @
@paulrowland43713 years ago I was gonna say that ply looked too thin. Is there any coping I think it’s called. I used to have a couple old scaffold pipes I used to use. Looks cool though bro. Would’ve loved that in my back garden in my skating days. How’s it holding up today to mate ? 👍🏼 just see you got complaint and had to take it down. Could Neighbours even hear from the bottom of your garden. Wish people would just live and let live. Did you sell ok? ... 2

@Diegothedriver4 years ago You are so lucky I would love too build one but it would cost too much 1
  • @
@jdad87263 years ago do you remember the transition radius you used? looks like 6 foot radius? 2
  • @
@xocmer98823 years ago how much is it cost, i know you had to take it down but please answer because i wanted to do the similar one 1
  • @
@smileo10074 years ago Did you leave any spaces in between the plywood? 1
  • @
@Jonas-ri6ix4 years ago how much did it cost? I want to build one in my garden too 1
  • @
@TomAtrooj4 years ago Î’m doîng the same in my garden. But i have never do bmx and î’m 39.😂 2

@andrewarroyo17894 years ago There is something just really wholesome about this, although not really a fan of the rap music, doesn't really fit the tone of the rest of the video but still really nice project 5
  • @
@thexanfan81733 years ago Thats a vert ramp not a haff pipe lol a haff pipe is a haff circle if vieuwed from the side and a vert ramp has a flat bit in the middle i really like the build tho 1
  • @
@tjmadden30864 years ago What is the width and length of your ramp?? 1
  • @
@pauljames45104 years ago You need two layers of ply really buddy 5
  • @
@skateboardingover30473 years ago Should have taken the time to level the ground. That garden bed looked horribly uneven.
Then the lengthwise support on the flat are just begging for big sags. The ribs should be horizontal and will support you so much better. ...
  • @
@domgrimard20884 years ago Isn’t your flat section a bit short? Not bitchin’ cuz I did that mistake on my 3ft miniramp, I got used to it, it’s 7ft flat, should’ve been at least 8. 1
  • @
@oldmate95612 years ago 🤣how good is it to still be a big kid... but wit money 1
