A Supportive Community Bears Down Subscribe: http://go.arizona.edu/yt-subscribe This video includes highlights from Zoom interviews between University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins and multiple leaders at the University. These excerpts provide a glimpse into the incredible expertise at Arizona and the many ways in which this health crisis has inspired innovation, including the production of test kits, antibody tests and personal protective equipment for those on the frontlines. The University of Arizona, in partnership with the University of Arizona Foundation, also has created an emergency fund for students so they can pay for essential things like food and rent as they continue their studies. And the Dean of Students’ Office, Office of Admissions, Office of the Provost, University of Arizona Health Sciences, Campus Health Services, Office of Research, Innovation and Impact and many more entities have continued to support the entire campus community with resources spanning new technology needed to continue essential lab operations remotely, to those that help everyone manage their mental health and well-being. If there is a silver lining during this crisis, it’s that the Wildcat community is full of amazing people who continue to move forward and support one another with true Bear Down spirit. The University of Arizona existed before Arizona was a state. Our first graduating class in 1895 consisted of two women and one male. Since then, we've learned that we're better together. We do more when we work across backgrounds, skills and perspectives. That's how we've become long-time partners with NASA, leaders in both the arts and sciences, and able to prepare students to succeed in a world where most of the jobs today's kindergartners will have don't even exist yet. We know how to converge. #universityofarizona #arizona #university
