It was Anthony Elanga who on 13 mins found himself some space inside the box to execute a superb volley into the bottom corner after good work from the right-hand side from Aaron Wan Bissaka to pick Anthony Elanga out in the Brentford box. After controlled possession from Man Utd on 20 mins, Brentford's Baptise found himself unmarked on the edge of the box when the ball was knocked down to him & Baptise hit a left footed strike which curled away from the diving Tom Heaton and found the top corner. The second half saw Manchester United start on the front foot with a change at right-back with Diogo Dalot coming on to replace Brandon Williams who took a knock before halftime. On 50 minutes Manchester United went on the attack with Brentford clearing the ball with a looping header for the oncoming Andreas Pereira from 25 yards our hitting thunderous volley which hit the underneath of the crossbar and hitting the back of the net to make it Manchester United 2-2 Brentford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made changes in the second half with youngsters Facundo Pelistri, Shola Shoretire, Hannibal & Donny Van De Beek of note that was given game time ahead of the new Premier League campaign. on 77 minutes Brentford broke down their right-hand side with Mbeumo who cut inside on his left foot and dispatched a curling effort from the edge of the area which beat the outstretched hand of Heaton. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be happy with the run to gain match fitness for the Man Utd team ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
