Soft Phulka ************ Ingredients required ********************* Wheat flour - 2 cups Salt - 1 tsp Oil - 1 tbsp Method ******** -To a mixing bowl add wheat flour, salt and oil and mix well. -Add luke warm water and knead. -Knead the dough well with your knuckles until the dough is soft and pliable. -Cover with muslin cloth or clean kitchen towel or cling sheet and let the dough rest for 15 minutes. -Take the dough knead again for 2 minutes and make equal sized portions of round balls and flatten them. -Dust the balls with flour and make round discs neither too thick nor too thin. (Do not use a lot of powder to dust because roti will become dry) -Heat a tawa on medium-high heat and place the roti on it. -Leave it for 10 to 15 seconds (Actual time given is shown in the video) -Flip the roti and leave until small air bubbles start showing on the top. -Gently press the roti using spatula or a kitchen towel to cook evenly. -Once air bubbles pop up, take the roti from tawa and place directly flip on the stove with the bottom side on top. (Mesh stand can also be used to place the roti instead of placing directly on flame) Use a tong to remove the Phulka from stove. Serve hot. No need of adding oil while cooking.
